Why IV vs. oral

100% bioavailability. Felt within the appointment.

Bypasses the gut

Oral vitamins lose 50–90% of their dose in digestion. IV delivers the full payload directly to your bloodstream — no GI distress, no waiting.

⏱️

Immediate effect

Most patients feel the difference before they leave the chair. Hydration drips work in real time, and B-complex / vitamin C reach therapeutic levels within minutes.

🩺

Clinical oversight

Every drip is reviewed by a physician and administered by a licensed RN. Vitals are taken before, during, and after.

Common questions

Questions about IV therapy.

Does it hurt?
A small pinch at the IV stick — most patients rate it 2/10. Once the IV is placed, you don't feel anything except the drip itself (some report a vitamin taste in the back of the throat).
How often should I get one?
Most patients do monthly maintenance drips, or as-needed for events (post-race, post-illness, before travel). Daily IV therapy is not appropriate.
Can I get IV therapy at home?
Not currently. We're a clinic-based service in Williamsburg, VA. For at-home alternatives, see our vitamin injections (IM, take-home) and vitamin patches.
Is this covered by insurance?
No — IV vitamin therapy is cash-pay. HSA / FSA cards often work depending on the formula and your plan administrator.
Can I get a drip while on Semaglutide / Tirzepatide?
Yes — many of our patients combine. The Hydration+ and Myers' Cocktail formulas are especially helpful when starting an injectable and dealing with mild nausea or dehydration.
