Who BHRT helps

If three of these sound like you — let's run your labs.

Perimenopause and menopause symptoms are real, but they're not inevitable. Most are tied to hormone shifts a panel can quantify.

The three hormones

Estradiol, progesterone, testosterone — calibrated to your panel.

BHRT uses molecules structurally identical to the ones your body already makes. Your physician picks the right combination, dose, and delivery form for your physiology.

Estradiol

Estrogen · primary

The hormone whose decline drives most perimenopausal symptoms: hot flashes, sleep disruption, vaginal dryness, brain fog. Restoring it (carefully, balanced with progesterone) is the cornerstone.

Topical creamPatchTroche

Progesterone

Always paired w/ estradiol

Calms the nervous system, supports sleep, and protects the uterine lining when estradiol is on board. Often the single biggest sleep & mood lever for perimenopausal women.

Oral capsule (bedtime)Topical cream

Testosterone

Optional · low-dose

Women also make and need testosterone. Low-dose replacement supports libido, energy, mood, and lean muscle — without the masculinizing effects of male TRT doses.

How it works

Lab first. Symptoms second. Protocol last.

01

Free intake screening

10-minute symptom inventory and health history. We confirm BHRT is worth exploring before any spend.

02

Comprehensive hormone panel

Lab work covers estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, DHEA-S, and metabolic markers. ($160 — recent labs accepted.)

03

Physician consultation

Your provider reviews the panel with you, explains what's driving your symptoms, and designs a starting protocol.

04

Compounded BHRT shipped

Discreet packaging, US-licensed compounding pharmacy. Most patients receive their first month within 7–10 days.

05

3-month follow-up & adjust

Repeat labs, symptom check-in, and a dose adjustment. Most women feel the shift within 4–8 weeks.

Common questions

Questions about BHRT.

Are bioidentical hormones safer than synthetic?
"Bioidentical" refers to molecular structure — these hormones are identical to what your body makes. That's distinct from "natural" marketing. Like any hormone therapy, BHRT carries risks (clotting, breast cancer history considerations) your provider screens for during the consult.
Do I need a hysterectomy / can I be on estradiol alone?
If you have a uterus, estradiol is always paired with progesterone to protect the uterine lining. If you've had a hysterectomy, estrogen-only therapy may be appropriate. Your provider decides based on your history.
How fast will I feel different?
Sleep and night sweats often shift within 2–4 weeks. Mood, libido, and body composition take 8–12 weeks. We re-check labs at 3 months because that's when the data is most useful.
Does insurance cover this?
No — GenWell Rx is cash-pay. Many patients use HSA / FSA. Compounded BHRT is typically not covered even with insurance, which is part of why we keep it transparent at $189/mo.
Can I do BHRT and Semaglutide at the same time?
Yes, and many of our patients do. Your physician coordinates both programs and the lab panels overlap — you don't pay for labs twice.
What if I'm not in perimenopause yet?
BHRT is most commonly used in late-30s through post-menopause. We don't prescribe it preventively. If your symptoms are clear but your labs are normal, your provider will discuss whether to test again later or explore other causes.

⚠️ Important safety information

Hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone. Contraindications include history of breast cancer, estrogen-sensitive cancers, unexplained vaginal bleeding, active liver disease, history of stroke or DVT/PE. Your physician screens during the consult.

Stop white-knuckling perimenopause.
